Russian govt ready to give 10 shelf licenses to Gazprom, Rosneft
MOSCOW, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Service for Natural Resources Oversight is ready to give 10 more licenses for exploration and development of shelf fields to oil major Rosneft and gas giant Gazprom, Deputy Director Orest Kasparov told reporters on Wednesday.
“A total of 10, one of them for Gazprom,” Kasparov said.
The government earlier signed orders to grant Rosneft the Tsentralno-Tatarsky oil and gas block on the shelf of the Sea of Japan and the Gusinozemelsky field in the Barents Sea.
Authorities have recently considered giving Rosneft the Olyutorsky, Khatyrsky and Shantarsky sites, and also the Magadan-4, Vilkitsky-1 and Vilkitsky-2 deposits.
